Pit City Rescue is a non for profit organization registered with the state of New York and was granted 501(c)(3) status. Contributions to Pit City Rescue are tax deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Our rescue is dedicated to helping animals in need that have been abused, neglected or in danger of euthanasia in kill shelters across the country.
Part of our mission is to bring awareness to the importance of spaying/ neutering the pets in order to avoid over population and try to reduce this terrible problem.
The Pit Bull breed is the most bred breed and it's estimated that 1 million Pit Bulls are killed in shelters per year, only 7% of them get adopted therefore for 1 Pit Bull that finds a loving home, 599 are being euthanized.
Shockingly these statistics are real and Pit City Rescue's goal is to make a difference with YOUR help and support !
We strongly believe that despite the misconceptions, Pit Bulls can make great family pets and even the mistreated ones deserve a chance to rehabilitation as well as knowing what love and care means.
